Storm Damage Response, June 19

Town staff, contractors, and police are responding to the damage from today's severe storm that caused downed trees and power lines.

A tree has fallen on Meadow Lane between Virgilia Street and Underwood Street and has taken down power lines. PEPCO must address fallen trees on power lines, and the Town has notified PEPCO.  The Town's tree maintenance contractor will be in Town tomorrow to remove debris from Town streets.  Trees that have fallen on private property are the responsibility of the homeowner.

There are active power outages in Town. Restoration time is estimated to be at midnight tonight.  Please stay away from all downed power lines and trees for your own safety.
