Please Consider Supporting Our Town’s 16th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner Effort

The A huge thanks to our Town neighbors who have contributed to help us purchase grocery cards for MCPS families facing hunger this holiday season. We now have the funds to give $100 Aldi and Giant food cards to 70 of the 150 families. There is still time to ensure we can help the remaining 80 families over this Thanksgiving holiday. Here is how you can help.  

Drop off/mail Giant or Aldi gift cards or a check payable to YMCA/YFS to Georgia Guhin (4006 Rosemary Street, Chevy Chase, MD 20815) or the Town Office. Contact Georgia Guhin (gbguhin@gmail.com) or Bridget Hartman (bridget@hartmanjr.net) if it is more convenient for one of us to pick up your donation.

Your generosity will make a big difference for our neighboring families who are experiencing food insecurity. Without access to school breakfast and lunch programs, Thanksgiving Break creates an additional strain on family food budgets. Our Giant and Aldi cards will also help fill this gap over the long holiday weekend.
